The trust, a registered Scottish charity, was set up by South Cowal Community Council in 2025. It has been set up specifically to be able to use the community right to buy legislation to aquire land and/or property, all for the benefit of the community.
Anyone living in the South Cowal area can be a member of the trust. Membership is free. Members can contribute in a number of ways: coming up with ideas for the trust, attending the AGM and voting for board members and standing for the board themselves. To join the trust, please email the trust with your address details and ask to be a member. That’s it, very simple.
